Job Overview
Bird In The Hand is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Lead to assist in overseeing daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service with team leadership, alongside experience in food safety and preparation. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining operational efficiency during your shift.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee and coach team members in food safety, food preparation, and customer service best practices.
- Manage the Point of Sale system to ensure accurate transactions and cash management.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation in line with our establishment's guidelines.
- Maintain FOH & BOH areas, accept deliveries, fulfill opening and closing duties.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during service.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management, preferably in casual dining settings.
- Excellent leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Knowledgeable in recipe preparation and basic kitchen skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
