We are seeking a Senior Revenue Analyst to join our revenue accounting team for the Navan Expense product. This individual will own crucial month-end close activities, ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606, and maintain strong internal controls. - Prepare and post monthly journal entries for revenue and revenue-related transactions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
- Support external and internal audits by providing documentation, analysis, and explanations of revenue-related transactions.
- Collaborate with the Product, Operations and IT teams to ensure data relied upon for revenue accounting is complete and accurate.
- Drive process improvements and automations within the revenue recognition cycle to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Ensuring appropriate application of internal controls related to the revenue cycle to ensure SOX compliance.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and projects.
- A strong team player that participates in accomplishing team goals.
- Provide revenue reporting and analysis to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA license preferred
- 3 years of experience in accounting
- 2 years auditing experience at a public accounting firm is preferred
- Strong, in-depth understanding of GAAP and the proven ability to research technical accounting topics
- Strong understanding of ASC 606
- Familiarity with SOX internal control compliance is a plus
- Technical Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel is required
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus
- Experience with analytics and automation tools is a plus (e.g. Alteryx, Thoughtspot, Tableau)
- Proven ability to quickly learn and work with various software platforms
