You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR in the Fire and Emergency Services Division of NAVAL SUBMARINE BASE NEW LONDON.

Qualifications:

For Outside applicants claiming VEOA and VRA (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service)
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in developing, evaluating or directing a fire prevention program; 2) Developing and providing training in fire protection and prevention; 3) Evaluating building or construction plans for ensuring compliance to fire codes and practices; 4) Conducting fire protection and prevention inspections. In addition, this position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: 1) Hazmat Awareness; 2) Inspector I; 3) Inspector II; 4) Instructor I. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. NOTE: If you do not possess all of the above certifications, and provide verification with your application, you will be rated ineligible. NOTE: If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached copies of your certifications, you will be rated ineligible.
