- You will design and prepare electrical system/component installation plans and drawings for major modification of existing electrical generation, distribution, and interior wiring for light and power.
- You will plan and carry out assignments by determining nature and condition assignments by determining nature and condition of existing facilities to develop necessary alteration. repair or modification of systems and equipment.
- You will conduct trouble shooting, corrective and preventive maintenance to all electrical generation, distribution and interior wiring and equipment.
- You will conduct line handing during mooring evolutions, crane operations and basic rigging.
- You will address electrical safety concerns, and analyze new or modified systems and equipment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to be licensed to drive government vehicles up to 5 ton or become licensed within a reasonable period after appointment.
- Incumbent must be certified materials handling operator up to and including shipboard 5-ton pedestal cranes or complete a crane certification course within a reasonable period.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
