Job Description
Our Shipping Containers Conversions unit is seeking a driven and experienced Engineer to play a key role in advancing our product work. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that supports highly specialized engineering activities central to the mission of the Naval Nuclear Laboratory.
In this role, you will develop and maintain deep technical knowledge that enables you to provide strong engineering support for ongoing projects. You'll become a subject matter expert on the equipment, systems, and technical requirements involved in our conversion work, helping ensure projects move forward safely, efficiently, and with technical excellence.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in radiological practices, an understanding of equipment fabrication processes, and experience managing technical project work. If you enjoy tackling complex engineering challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to meaningful, high-impact work, this role offers an exciting path to do just that.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.

$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
