Summary
You will serve as a COMMAND INFORMATION OFFICER (SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)) in the Command Information Office for NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 through GS-15.
Duties
You will develop new methods, approaches and procedures to test and optimize the functionality of IT systems and networks and ensure data integrity.You will manage and oversee the continuity of operations for EXWC information systems and applications deployed within the DON in support of the warfare center mission.You will evaluate and recommend adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering IT services conducts analyses and recommends resolution of complex IT issues.You will, in collaboration with key stakeholders and senior leadership, identify and define business or technical requirements applied to the design, development, implementation, management and support of software and information systems.You will be responsible for continuous CyberSecurity lifecycle review, analysis, design, and sustainment of command information systems ensuring compliance to applicable DoW and Secretary of Navy (SECNAV) Cyber Instructions.You will be responsible for setting EXWC CIO Department priorities, preparing schedules, and assigning tasks based on employee skills and project demands.You will complete performance management tasks, communicating expectations, holding subordinates accountable, promoting development and training, and addressing performance and conduct issues.You will represent warfare center requirements in enterprise IT Forums, prepare and present reports, interact with Naval Research and Development Establishment organizations, and provide technical leadership on cross-organization group projects.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Delivering Information Systems design, testing, deployment and monitoring; 2. Overseeing the Cybersecurity RMF process, Cyber incident response, and Cyber investigations and forensics; 3. Managing Information Technology procurement, deployment, and sustainment; 4. Deploying and championing RDT&E and Classified Network design, testing, and maintenance.
