You will serve as an INSTRUMENT MECHANIC LEADER in the Components Division, of the Instrument, Inertial Navigation and Calibration Branch FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will overhaul, repair, modify, test and calibrate, electronic and mechanically controlled navigational compasses, autopilot computers, amplifiers, controllers, bearing directional indicators.
- You will perform miniature and microminiature circuit diagnostic and fundamental tests, repairs, and modifications of avionics printed circuit boards and module assemblies.
- You will act as a technical liaison between the shop and various support groups.
- You will provide support during pilot rework actions for new workload.
- You will write and assist shop personnel in writing requests for engineering support (3R's) to facilitate the shops production efforts.
- You will demonstrate a thorough background in the Instrument Mechanic trade with emphasis on operations and procedures.
