- Maintains electronic and/or hard copy filing system by setting up files, filing new documents, purging and updating.
- Enters data into appropriate information system.
- Receives, logs in and distributes incoming department reports.
- Responds to routine inquiries that require judgment in determining the type of information that may be released.
- Provides function specific information, instructions and forms.
- Prepares routine correspondence, reports, labels and forms.
- Prepares monthly statistical reports as required.
- Assists in researching, retrieving and releasing documents requested.
- Assists with other administrative support duties as needed.
- Knowledge of basic clerical and office support practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of computer software, word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
- Skill in preparing a variety of records, reports, and correspondence using computer software.
- Skill in maintaining filing and records systems.
- Skill in operating office equipment, including computer programs.
- Skill in organizing, updating and maintaining records in an automated environment.
- Skill in effectively communicating verbally and in writing.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
