Position Description
YOU WILL SERVE AS A SUPERVISORY MECHANICAL OR AEROSPACE ENGINEER IN THE AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, AIR VEHICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, AEROMECHANICS DIVISION OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. AIR SYSTEMS GROUP AIR VEHICLE ENGINEERING DEPT AEROMECHANICS DIVISION
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will plan, direct, and control all engineering activities related to both aerodynamics and flight dynamics of manned and unmanned air vehicles.
- You will provide analysis and assessment of stability and control, flying qualities and modeling of aircraft/ ship airwake interaction.
- You will provide development of real-time piloted and unpiloted simulations; and analysis and certification of store separation, and jettison.
- You will manage division activities to assure adequate, coordinated, and timely execution.
- You will establish level of empowerment of division personnel based on experience, training, and expertise, and resolves conflicts with team leaders concerning staffing and delegated responsibility.
- You will establish performance objectives and other basic guides to be followed by personnel within the Division, approves promotions, rates employee performance for all of the Division personnel
