MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Position Description

You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the System Safety/R&M Br (BL32100) of NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIV of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the team leader for assigned system safety program, managing the identification, analysis, documentation, and correction of system safety hazards
• You will develop system safety risk assessments in close collaboration with relevant engineering subject matter experts and facilitate risk acceptance by the appropriate authority.
• You will provide review of Engineering Change Proposals, Fleet Technical Publications, and evaluate Flight Clearances to ensure hazards are identified, communicated and that the appropriate hazard controls are in place
• You will prepare correspondence, technical reports, cost estimates for project funding, fact sheets, status reports and schedules as required to complete project assignments.
