NAVA is a vintage Airstream coffee trailer serving high-quality espresso drinks. We’re a growing small business focused on efficiency, hospitality, and creating a memorable customer experience.
We are looking for a dependable, confident leader who can run the trailer smoothly, uphold our standards, and represent the Nava brand with professionalism. We are searching for an individual wanting a seasonal position (May to September) with hours ranging from 16 to 32 hours per week.
Position Overview
The Manager is responsible for assistance in all aspects of running trailer operations such as drink production, shift operations, cashier duties, and overseeing the flow of service. This role may operate the trailer independently and is trusted to open, run, and close the trailer properly.
Key Responsibilities
Drink & Service Execution
- Assist barista to prepare espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages as needed to NAVA standards
- Ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Assist with handing out drinks and managing customer flow
- Maintain speed and accuracy during busy rushes
- Operate POS system and take orders on week days
Shift Leadership
- Lead the shift and direct support staff (cashier/barista support)
- Maintain a positive, calm, and efficient work environment
- Problem-solve independently when issues arise
Trailer Operations
- Open and close the coffee trailer properly
- Set up and shut down generator safely
- Complete cleaning and sanitation checklist
- Restock supplies and maintain organization
- Report inventory
- Cash handling
Inventory & Prep
- Pick up supplies before and during shifts as needed
- Monitor milk, syrups, cups, and inventory levels
- Communicate inventory needs to owner
Qualifications
- Previous barista required and managerial experience preferred
- Comfortable dialing in espresso & using commercial machines
- Leadership or shift lead experience preferred
- Highly reliable and punctual
- Able to lift 30 lbs
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in a compact, fast-paced environment
