Windows On The River is currently hiring for a Banquet Sous Chef.
Pay range $25 – 32/hr.

Key Responsibilities:
- Potential to take charge of the kitchen in the Kitchen Manager absence.
- Prep and cook hors d’oeuvres for banquet events.
- Responsible for the preparation and plating of all meals or events assigned.
- Responsible for preparation of all sauces, dressings, and all presentations in the operation.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies and inventory regularly.
- Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward.
- Monitor expiration dates and quality of food items, reporting any issues to kitchen management
- Assist in the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Report any damaged or broken equipment to the Kitchen Manager.
- Act as a liaison between three kitchens for Kitchen Manager and Executive Chef.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that food is handled and served properly
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet catering preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75lbs
- Ability to stand for 8hrs during shift
