DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

OF POSITION:

• Engages students in both team sports and individual activities, while explaining the safe and correct way to engage in physical fitness.
• Teaches social interaction skills as students learn and work together in the Physical Education setting
• Plans instruction that motivates and excites the students while emphasizing the importance of life-long physical activity and awareness of self.
• Recognizes and differentiates instruction that meets the needs of all students and abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Massachusetts Certification in secondary 9-12 Physical Education

& Health Certification

Outdoor Education (Project Adventure or similar Qualified)   

preferred, not mandatory 

SALARY:

Per prevailing contract
