Patient Care Coordinator-North Austin

Urology Specialists of Austin is pleased to announce an opening for a highly motivated and skilled full-time Patient Care Coordinator at our bustling Round Rock and Lakeline office. This integral position offers a stable and consistent work schedule, operating Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance with no evening or weekend commitments. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is eager to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment and make a meaningful impact on our patients' experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments, managing provider calendars efficiently.
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary forms and documents (IDs, insurance cards) are accurately completed and scanned into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Verify patient insurance information, explain coverage, and collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow and communicate any service delays.
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area.
• Manage office inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office, customer service, or a related administrative role is preferred.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional phone etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures is an asset.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to be empathetic, patient, and calm in a fast-paced or stressful environment.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
