Data Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Lead to oversee and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of data migration projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP environments, hands-on experience with enterprise data migration, and proven leadership in driving successful transitions. This role will utilize our company’s proprietary migration tool, DCS, to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant migrations. The Data Migration Lead will work closely with business, technical, partner and client teams to ensure seamless data transition with minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end data migration initiatives, including strategy, planning, design, execution, validation, and post-migration support.

· Develop and manage migration plans using DCS, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

· Analyze SAP legacy systems and target platforms to determine mapping, transformation, and migration requirements.

· Establish and enforce data migration standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.

· Manage data cleansing, profiling, and validation activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

· Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to align migration activities with system requirements.

· Oversee risk identification, impact analysis, and mitigation strategies for migration-related challenges.

· Lead and mentor a team of data migration analysts and developers, providing technical guidance and oversight.

· Prepare documentation, including migration plans, data mapping, test cases, and status reports.

· Support SAP cutover activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and ensure seamless transition to production.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

· 7 years of experience in data migration, data integration, or database management.

· Proven experience leading SAP data migration projects, including ECC to S/4HANA migrations.

· Hands-on experience with migration tools (experience with DCS preferred or required).

· Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and SQL.

· Familiarity with SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, HR, etc.) and data structures.

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor teams.

· Experience with migration to SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based applications.

· Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.

· Hands-on experience with data quality tools and master data management.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
