Duties
- Operate skid steer loaders with precision to move materials, clear sites, and assist with excavation tasks.
- Support other heavy equipment operations such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling rigs, and paving machinery as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist in site preparation by leveling ground, loading materials, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and report any issues immediately.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating skid steer loaders in a construction or similar environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drills, and paving machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in operating construction vehicles such as dump trucks or water trucks is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Construction site experience with familiarity working around Caterpillar (CAT) equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-focused environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks as required.
