This role is responsible for using Walmart's Scintilla data platform to analyze category performance, develop data-driven insights, and provide strategic recommendations to the company's Walmart team. Key responsibilities include managing retail reporting, creating scorecards and dashboards, and working with Scintilla and other data sources (like Circana) to drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and inform retail strategies for their products at Walmart.
About the Role
As a Scintilla Category Analyst, you will be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable category insights that drive key performance indicators. You will collaborate with the Naturipe Farms and sales and marketing teams to deliver strategic solutions by leveraging Scintilla, planning tools, and other data platforms.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and rolls up to the VP of Marketing, however will also work closely with the other members of the marketing team and the Walmart sales team. Your contributions will help shape data integration, dashboard management, and the development of impactful category analytics and support the sales growth goal of the Walmart account.
Ultimately, you’ll be the catalyst for turning Scintilla data into meaningful insights that empower the team to execute successful retail strategies and elevate performance across the board.
In our ideal situation this position would be hybrid (3 days a week in office – Salinas location only) and could be remote, however preference will be given to candidates located in Michigan, Salinas, CA or Bentonville, AK areas.
Main Responsibilities
- Leverage Scintilla and other syndicated data resources (Circana) to provide category recommendations and analyses for our Naturipe Farms team
- Translate category management priorities to actionable initiatives Naturipe Farms
- Work collaboratively to develop innovative and insightful content to drive category growth
- Provide category insights support, reporting and develop score cards for Naturipe Farms Team
- Monitor and analyze category, competition, and consumer market data to proactively identify business opportunities and develop actionable category insights.
- Support and align with the marketing team, Naturipe Farms Sales, and Finance in terms of producing monthly, quarterly, and retail execution ROI
Who we are looking for:
- 2-3 years relevant experience preferred, Produce or CPG Foods experience is a plus
- Prior category management or insights role preferred
- Syndicated data required; Scintilla experience preferred, Kroger 84.51 / on Demand or Circana
- Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint
- Storytelling capabilities to translate data & insights into selling narratives
- Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with the necessary internal and external stakeholders, building solid relationships and customer influencing skills
- Strategic and proactive thinking to develop category strategies and translate them into KPIs and objectives
- Management presentation competencies to effectively present key category insights to senior leadership
- Proactive, initiative taking orientation

- 15%-20% Travel required for customer , internal team meetings and industry events
