We're looking for a Production Supervisor for our busy manufacturing facility in Amityville, NY. The Supervisor will be responsible for the management of the assigned department(s). This role will coordinate departmental activities with other managers and supervisors to ensure production meets budget, scheduling, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures and monitors all production and quality systems in place.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulations relating to production operation and personnel safety such as FDA and OSHA.
- Follows all Company policies/procedures and ensures a safe work environment.
- Coordinates production scheduling with management, warehouse, quality control, and maintenance personnel.
- Monitors production and directs daily production schedule. Visually inspects work areas and production equipment, ensures equipment operates properly, and notifies maintenance if repairs needed.
- Monitors HACCP checks and ensures compliance with standards and procedures, takes corrective actions as required.
- Monitors, trains, evaluate associates and provide guidance as necessary.
- Monitors and evaluates production performance to ensure performance standards are met.
- Adjusts manpower, and equipment resources as needed.
- Implements corrective action when process deviations occur
- Assist in both internal and external audits. Conducts personnel safety training. Writes and revises assigned area SOPs.
Physical Requirements: Standing and walking short distances for most of the day. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Qualifications: Associate degree with three (3) years of Supervisory experience in the manufacturing field. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Must be computer proficient.
The approximate pay range for this position is $25/hr to $30/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
