What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator position at Nature's Path?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but are not limited to):
- Transition with the outgoing night shift lead or shipper to exchange information from the previous shift.
- Frequently walking the Plant to assess where each production line is and what changes have occurred during the shift. And looking forward on the schedule to determine future needs.
- Assess the amount of finished goods on the floor, check the trailers in each door, check with shippers to see if there are issues that can be resolved, go through shipping paperwork.
- Assess the trailer needs for the shift by generating FG distribution sheet to determine the various destinations for the shift’s pallets.
- Create designation lists for shippers to move the proper product to the correct designations.
- Contact dispatchers to communicate trailer and product movement based on the day’s information with forecast needed for the day. On Fridays send out the projections for the weekend trailers
- Order pallets for finished goods as needed Blonde pallets, Blue CHEPS, HT pallets
- Track outgoing CHEP pallets and where they have been shipped to.
- Proactively communicate with PC & master schedulers regarding partials, overruns, hold pallets to get items shipped out.
- Arrange the transfer of WIP going out to outside storage and the transfer back to us.
- Completing shipping paperwork and cross border paperwork for shippers
- Continuous communication to update dispatchers and order trailers
- Assist with receiving of inbound packaging as needed
- Assists with the cycle counts and inventory of product stored in the warehouse
- Special projects may be assigned at the Warehouse Supervisor’s and Warehouse Manager’s discretion

Path for Success:
- 2 years logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- High-level problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
- Excellent customer service skills to meet the requests of our team members and internal/external customers
- Strong safety awareness and proven safety record
- Experience with IFS
- Experience with RF Scanners
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written, in the English language
- Preferably forklift experience
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
Wage: $26.88/hour

Salary : $145 - $1,000
