We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our team!
As a Material Handler you will be responsible for operating the forklift safely and efficiently while ensuring continuous production operation of packaging lines and following Nature’s Path’s safety, quality and production procedures.
Night Shift Hours: 5:50AM-6:00PM on a Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule
Pay rate: $21.94
A Taste of the Job:
- Operating the forklift safely and efficiently by: Operating the forklift in accordance with plant forklift rules and regulations.
- Performing safety checks on the forklift; logging and reporting any safety discrepancies with the Production Supervisor.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for all team members and making the Production Supervisor or lead aware of any equipment or personnel safety issues immediately.
- Following all aspects of the Lock Out Tag Out program.
- Ensuring continuous production operation of packaging lines and following Nature’s Path’s safety, quality and production procedures.
- Ensuring all proper paperwork and materials are used, including pallets, slip sheets, WIP paperwork, and finished skid labeling paperwork is documented accordingly.
- Coordinating with Quality Assurance to ensure that all produces meet quality standards.
- Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Lean Initiatives as set forth by management.
- Ensuring that all finished goods are properly labeled and staged for shipping.
- Maintaining an accurate and detailed operator’s log.
Path for Success:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6-12 months forklift and standup forklift experience is a must
- Production experience preferred
- Proven problem solving ability with mechanical understanding of machinery
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and computer skills desirable
