Armed Security Officer – Retail Store

Nature's Finest Security is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Licensed Armed Security Officers to provide security services at a retail location in Queens, New York. We are looking for officers who demonstrate excellent judgment, professionalism, and the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and property.
Responsibilities
- Provide a highly visible security presence throughout the retail location.
- Patrol assigned areas on foot to deter theft, vandalism, and criminal activity.
- Monitor customer and employee activity while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and incidents promptly and professionally.
- Enforce store policies and security procedures.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Coordinate with store management and law enforcement when necessary.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-value merchandise areas.
- Perform de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Valid New York State Armed Guard Registration.
- Valid Firearms Permit/License as required by New York State.
- Current 8-Hour and 16-Hour Security Guard Training Certificates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Previous retail security, law enforcement, military, or armed security experience preferred.
