What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality & Operations Manager — Dietary Supplement Manufacturing position at Nature's Blooms?
About Us
Nature's Blooms is a growing dietary supplement brand built around herbal ingredients, with full supply chain transparency at the core of who we are. We produce liquid herbal bitters ... including our flagship soursop bitters ... and a baobab-based product. Our philosophy is "Care Before Crisis": prevention over cure. We're an FDA-registered facility currently working toward our first GMP certification (21 CFR 111) as we scale.
About the Role
We're looking for a Quality & Operations Manager to take full ownership of our quality systems, warehouse operations, and hands-on production work. This is not a desk role ... you'll be on the floor daily, actively involved in production, while also owning our compliance documentation and serving as the point of contact with our outside GMP consultant. You'll be the person who keeps everything running correctly day to day, so leadership can focus on growing the business.
What You'll Own
- Work hands-on in production alongside our team — mixing, blending, filling, and other daily manufacturing tasks
- Serve as the primary point of contact with our GMP/quality consultant, translating audit-readiness deliverables (HACCP plan, SOPs, risk assessments) into daily execution on the floor
- Manage day-to-day warehouse and production operations, including our production staff
- Own and maintain compliance documentation: batch records, calibration logs, cleaning/sanitation records, supplier qualification files, complaint handling
- Run receiving, raw material handling, and in-process quality checks
- Maintain prerequisite compliance programs (pest control, calibration schedule, training records... etc)
- Support supplier documentation requests and qualification
- Train and onboard new production staff as the team grows
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience in food, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical manufacturing under cGMP
- Comfortable doing physical production work yourself, not just directing others
- Comfort owning documentation and compliance work independently
- Experience training or leading production staff
- Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through with minimal oversight
- Comfortable in a small, early-stage company where you wear multiple hats
Nice to Have
- Experience with liquid product manufacturing specifically
- Familiarity with HACCP, supplier qualification, or contract manufacturer vetting
- Bilingual (Spanish or French) a plus
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
Salary : $18 - $25
