What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at NATURE'S BLEND WOOD PRODUCTS, INC?
Responsibilities:
-Monitor production. Address & resolve any issues that may cause delays.
-Schedule & manage workforce, keep track of attendance, and apply disciplinary actions when needed.
-Enforce health & safety compliance.
-Relieve material from inventory, complete job moves, & close out work orders.
-Ensure all employees are cross-trained.
-Order raw material.
-Have employees complete quarterly inventories.
-Communicate with purchasing agents & customers.
-Compile production/performance reports to management.
-Monitor product quality & implement corrective action.
Skills:
-Leadership & team management skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal & scheduling abilities to manage workloads.
- Understanding of production machinery, maufacturing processess, and industry standards.
- Problem solving & decision- making skills to address issues , minimize downtime, & maintain productivity.
- Knowledge of health & safety protocols.
- Capable of working in a fast- paced environment.
- Proficient with ERP systems and other basic software.
Note: Prior work experience of 3 years or a Business Administration degree a plus.
