Position Summary

The Cultivation Inventory Manager (CIM) at NatureMed is responsible for tracking product from cultivation through sale; supporting the sales team with a menu of available products for sale; and managing the packaging team to deliver product orders.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The Cultivation Inventory Manager reports to the Cultivation Operations Manager or Cultivation Director; manages the packaging team and supports the sales and retail teams with quality products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Cultivation Inventory Manager:

  • Receives and verifies all transferred product weight from the cultivator, monitoring and forecasting production from Cultivation.
  • Confirms product quality of all products transferred from the cultivator, and determines the tier level of each product.
  • Oversees Dutchie transfers of all products from the cultivator.
  • Oversees COGS from cultivation and packaging, making sure products get converted properly.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of bulk and packaged products physically and in the inventory management system (Dutchie).
  • Maintains accurate inventory of packaging supplies (physically) and in the inventory management system (Dutchie).
  • Coordinate with Packaging Supplies Vendors.
  • Conducts weekly audits of inventory on hand Product and Packaging
  • Communicates available inventory to the sales team.
  • Communicates available inventory of consumables (brand packaging)
  • Manages the packaging team to fulfill orders.
  • Ensures product is efficiently and effectively packaged for sale.
  • Confirms quantities on all outgoing orders.
  • Confirms pricing with the sales team and/or customers.
  • Confirms quality on all outgoing orders.
  • Confirms delivery of all orders, delivers if needed, makes sure all deliveries happen accordingly.
  • Maintains an efficient inventory control system compliant with state law and company policy that accurately reflects the current inventory on hand at any given time; and
  • Prepares all outgoing manifests and compliance documents for orders.
  • Prepares all outgoing samples for testing and compliance documents for Lab testing orders. Coordinate lab sample delivery/pick up.
  • Communicates all wholesales to the accounting department, including proper documentation
  • Monitors Inventory levels of bulk concentrates, coordinates with Lab for reordering.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of3 year experience in the cannabis or other regulated industry;
  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory control experience and COGS Traceability.
  • Proficient using inventory management software.
  • Proficient using Windows-based applications and Google platforms.
  • Proficient using Excel and/or Google sheets.
  • Extremely dependable and trustworthy.
  • Highly organized and accurate.
  • Detail-oriented and systematic.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience using NatureMed’s systems and processes.
  • Experience using Dutchie or METRC.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry and state regulations.

Physical Requirements:

The Cultivation Inventory Manager (CIM) requires long periods of sitting and working on a computer.The CIM is required to stand for long periods of time, moving about frequently in a confined space. This position also requires bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling, as needed to organize and audit inventory.. The CIM must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds frequently; and may be required to occasionally safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

Generally, the schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. This position requires some scheduling flexibility, where evening and weekend work may be required to support rush orders, deliveries, or other operational demands.

This position is required to report to their assigned location, in-person.

Travel

Occasional travel to locations within the state may be required. The CIM may be required to operate NatureMed’s vehicles and complete deliveries, as needed.

State law requires all NatureMed team members be at least 21 years of age.

All NatureMed team members are required to obtain and retain a Facility Agent license through the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS), as a condition of their employment.

The CIM must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. All team members who drive company vehicles must be insurable, based on the Company’s insurance carrier criteria and approval.
