NatureMed is seeking a Store Manager for our brand new Paducah dispensary.

Position Summary

The Store Manager is ultimately responsible for the overall performance of the NatureMed location by managing the team and day-to-day operations; managing the financial performance of the location; and operating in compliance with applicable laws. The Store Manager is self-motivated, able to prioritize, delegate, and quickly confirm tasks are completed to expectation.

The Store Manager reports directly to the Retail Operations Director and works hand-in-hand with the team at the location to deliver excellent customer experiences. The NatureMed management team supports the Store Manager with Accounting, Compliance, Inventory/Purchasing, Human Resources, and Marketing to ensure a consistent experience across the brand.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Store Manager’s key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and motivate a diverse team to deliver an overall excellent experience for every patron and patient.
  • Ensure the location operates in compliance with state regulations and is consistent with NatureMed company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction and address any customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Manage store open/closing processes to ensure protocols are followed and tasks are completed accurately and timely.
  • Report and relay pertinent information to the leadership team, and other members of the team, as needed.
  • Review daily reports and facilitate the resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support sales and any anticipated demand/needs.
  • Review inventory counts regularly to ensure they are performed accurately and documented in the inventory control systems.
  • Verify daily sales calculations and cash counts, prepare daily deposits.
  • Control variable costs and expenses to meet performance and profitability targets.
  • Analyze sales, performance, and other key data elements to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage performance of all team members.
  • Approve timecards to support bi-weekly payroll.
  • Facilitate industry, product, and performance knowledge acquisition by sharing information and articles, providing training opportunities, and coaching.
  • Recommend wage increases for team members.
  • Facilitate performance reviews and check-ins with all team members.
  • Manage customer and/or team conflict to a positive resolution.
  • Identify and respond to customer concerns and requests.
  • Be a shining example of good behavior and high performance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail management.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Highly organized, accurate, with great attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Accurate cash counting and cash handling skills.
  • Experienced using MS Office and/or Google suites.
  • Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred:

  • 2 years of Inventory Control experience preferred.
  • Some college or advanced study in a related field, preferred.
  • Experience with Point of Sales systems (POS).
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry is preferred, but not required for this position.

Physical Requirements:

The Store Manager is required to sit or stand at a desk for long periods of time, work on a computer, and must be able to regularly lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. This position also requires bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling, as needed to merchandise and maintain the space.

Schedule

The schedule for this position varies and is based on operational need. Initially, store hours will be from 10 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week, and open most holidays. Eventually, the store will expand hours of operation. The Store Manager establishes a regular schedule that provides coverage to best support their team and location. The Store Manager’s schedule may require extended hours, both day and afternoon shifts, weekends and holidays.

This position is required to report to their assigned location, in-person.

Travel

Occasional travel to locations within the state may be required.

  • Violation of a state or federal controlled substance state law that was classified a felony, with the exception of an offense for which the sentence was completed five (5) or more years earlier.

NatureMed team members may not be convicted of a disqualifying felony offense, as a condition of their employment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
