Overview
We are a rapidly growing transportation and logistics organization based in Columbus, Ohio. Over the next 12 months, our strategic objective is to scale through fleet expansion, and operational optimization.
This is a senior leadership role designed for an experienced operator with 10-20 years of expertise in trucking, logistics, or brokerage operations. The individual will be responsible for architecting and executing the systems, processes, relationships, and controls required to support both short-term revenue acceleration and long-term enterprise value growth.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking and operational discipline, with the ability to build infrastructure, develop teams, and establish high-performing revenue and compliance frameworks. This position offers a clear pathway to a future COO as the company continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Development & Market Expansion
- Establish and expand relationships with shippers, brokers, and strategic partners
- Secure dedicated lanes and recurring freight opportunities
- Develop pricing strategies, margin controls, and profitability models
Operational Excellence & System Design
- Redesign and optimize daily operations for scalability and efficiency
- Create SOPs, KPIs, performance dashboards, and operational scorecards
- Improve fleet utilization, reduce deadhead, and increase overall efficiency
Compliance, Safety, and Maintenance Oversight
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive compliance and safety program
- Ensure full DOT and FMCSA readiness, including driver files, ELD compliance, and audit preparation
- Strengthen company-wide safety metrics and regulatory adherence
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and develop future departmental teams as the organization scales
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and operational discipline
Compensation & Growth Path
Base Salary
$8,000–$12,000 per month, commensurate with experience and proven results.
Performance-Based Compensation (Uncapped)

Top performers can achieve $150,000–$200,000 annually.
