Granite Countertop Sales Representative
Location: Kalispell, Montana
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed

Position summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Granite Countertop Sales Representative to join our team in Kalispell, Montana. This position will guide homeowners, contractors, builders, designers, and commercial customers through the countertop selection and purchasing process.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and an interest in natural stone, quartz, remodeling, and construction. Experience in countertop sales, interior design, cabinetry, flooring, construction, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to understand their project goals, style preferences, budget, and timeline.
- Educate customers about granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, porcelain, and other countertop materials.
- Help customers select appropriate colors, patterns, edge profiles, sinks, backsplashes, and other options.
- Prepare estimates, proposals, quotes, and sales orders accurately.
- Review measurements, drawings, layouts, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with templating, fabrication, installation, vendors, contractors, and customers.
- Maintain regular communication throughout the sales and production process.
- Follow up on leads, showroom visits, referrals, and existing customer opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with builders, remodelers, designers, cabinet companies, and contractors throughout the Flathead Valley.
- Keep showroom displays, samples, and customer information organized and presentable.
- Track customer interactions, quotes, orders, deposits, and project status.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Meet or exceed individual and company sales goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, lead times, fabrication capabilities, and installation requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous sales or customer service experience required; countertop, cabinetry, flooring, construction, or design experience preferred.
- Strong communication, listening, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to visualize projects and help customers make confident design decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately work with measurements, dimensions, pricing, and written specifications.
- Comfortable using computers, email, customer relationship management software, and estimating programs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time.
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Familiarity with the Kalispell and Flathead Valley construction and remodeling market is a plus.
Physical requirements
This position is primarily showroom and office-based but may require occasional travel to job sites, customer homes, fabrication facilities, or installation locations. The employee may occasionally need to inspect slabs, review job conditions, and assist with material or sample handling.
