What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Operator I position at NATURAL GAS FUEL SYSTEMS LLC?

Essential Job Functions
1. Utilize production equipment to perform a variety of manufacturing operations to cut production parts as production schedule requires.
2. Required to work from drawings, blue prints, models, specifications and verbal instructions.
3. Must be proficient in the use of all measuring instruments to layout, check, and verify all dimensions and tolerances.
4. Follow all required steps in the manufacturing standard work process. This includes learning and applying knowledge to PLEX, with special emphasis on consuming parts at Point of use consisting of the appropriate serial numbers.
5. Must have sufficient knowledge of math to make calculations for cutting speeds, feeds, angles, offsets, etc.
6. Utilize knowledge of working properties and machining processes for a wide variety of materials such as steel, stainless steels, and aluminum.
7. Meet or exceed daily production requirements per production specifications as set by the Production Supervisor.
8. Perform production checks to meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
9. Perform maintenance and change tooling as required.
10. Maintain a clean work environment, in area of responsibility and in other areas as needed

Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2 years’ CNC Machining experience in a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with ERP business systems software required for the specific area of responsibility.
