Position Title: Irrigation Technician
Reports to: Irrigation Manager, all managers
Specializing in: Two-wire repairs and diagnostics
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who can independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of irrigation system issues while maintaining strong communication and documentation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues, including controllers, wiring, valves, solenoids, and decoders
- Troubleshoot electrical and two-wire system faults
- Perform wire tracking and locate underground issues
- Complete service repairs efficiently and accurately in the field
- Generate detailed service reports for billing and documentation
- Communicate effectively with the irrigation manager, team members, landscape division, and sales staff to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an irrigation technician
- Strong knowledge of two-wire irrigation systems and controllers
- Ability to diagnose electrical and wiring issues
- Experience with valve, solenoid, and decoder troubleshooting and repair
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday (with occasional variations as needed)
