JOB TITLE: Accounting Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. This role will play a key part in all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee general ledger management including preparing and posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Verify general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Participate in audit and compliance activities as a liaison to external auditors
- Maintains and balances Accounts Receivable Ledger.
- Reconciles Accounts Receivable Ledger with the General Ledger.
- Balances ledgers with factor.
- Responsible for non-factored accounts receivable approvals and collections
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Strong operational and accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- College degree
- Experience managing direct reports
- Flexible and able to accept and embrace departmental/organizational changes with positive attitude
- Organized and detailed orientated; Problem-solver, solutions orientated
- Able to build relationships effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills; expert excel skills
- Salary range $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 based on experience.
