Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Academy Principals, the Campus Safety Monitor builds relationships, supervises, and redirects the behavior of students and school visitors. The Campus Safety Monitor is responsible to connect, protect, and expect: Connects with students to form mentoring relationships, protects students by ensuring the safety of the campus, and expects students to maintain academic, behavioral, and social-emotional excellence. The Campus Safety Monitor facilitates the NCS before and after school program, supervises the campus during the school day. The Campus Mentor collaborates with other educators, assists in maintaining school rules as outlined in the parent and student handbook, norms and enforces school rules and student community expectations. The Campus Safety Monitor encourages global mindedness and develops students as life-long learners.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must hold a valid California Driver’s License and must provide proof of automobile insurance coverage; testing of tuberculosis (skin test, chest x-ray, or risk assessment signed by health care provider) is required upon employment. Clearance from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) required upon employment. Equivalent to graduation from high school is required, preferably including or supplemented by volunteering in school setting and/or courses in Early Childhood Education. First Aid/CPR Certificate desired
