Responsibilities:
- Credit Opinion Development and Analysis: Oversee and execute credit risk opinions, conducting thorough market and financial analyses of clients in the Americas. This involves evaluating transactions proposed by front office groups, with a primary focus on Infrastructure Finance (Project Finance), though some analysis may extend to other verticals like Aviation Finance or Corporate Finance.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Regularly liaise with front office origination teams to provide insightful guidance on desired transaction structures, risk mitigation schemes, and risk appetite.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with various bank departments, including Front Office Origination, Workout (DRAS), Portfolio Management (CPRM), Loan Review, Legal, the Head Office Credit Department, and especially Credit Surveillance & Analytics, to ensure comprehensive credit risk management.
- Industry and Sector Expertise: Strengthen internal knowledge of diverse industries and sectors within Infrastructure & Energy / Project Finance, including data centers, renewable and conventional energy/power, and infrastructure projects, as well as the transaction structures the bank engages in.
- Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the credit portfolio by preparing detailed, relevant, and accurate credit risk opinions for new transactions, annual/quarterly reviews, Watchlist Fiches, amendments, waivers, and one-off requests, ensuring adherence to lending policy requirements.
- Risk Rating and Surveillance: Maintain valid and updated internal and regulatory ratings, as well as watchlist levels, for the portfolio.
- Process Enhancement: Contribute to the enhancement of credit risk processes and templates utilized by the bank.
- Risk Event Reporting: Promptly report any credit events that may result in a covenant breach or credit risk deterioration of the underlying borrower and/or industry.
- Management Reporting: Assist in preparing selected portfolio updates and analyses of topics of interest for general management.
- Credit Process Management: Follow credit risk processes in line with Lending Policy requirements throughout the approval stages and post-approval.
- Relationship Management: Maintain constructive relationships with various business unit contacts to ensure responsiveness and appropriate prioritization for the pipeline of requests, including the onboarding of new counterparties.
- Executive Presentations: Make insightful presentations and sound recommendations to senior management and local and global credit committees.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is required. An MBA in Finance or a related field is a strong plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a credit risk, portfolio management, or front office department within a bank, credit agency, or large company/private equity setting is required.
- Demonstrated expertise and strong credentials in Infrastructure / Project Finance are essential.
- Exposure to and/or knowledge of the Aviation Finance field would be a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in understanding and analyzing the banking system and financial products/instruments, such as medium- to long-term construction/term loans, tax equity structures, structured finance, and capital markets.
- Hands-on working experience in various sectors and industries relevant to our focus, including Renewable Energy, Project Finance, Telecom/Data Centers, Transportation, or Corporate/Structured Finance is desired.
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of credit risk analysis methodologies, typical and customary credit structures, risk mitigation schemes, and cash flow modeling is highly valued.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The salary range for the Director level position will be between $180,000 - $240,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
The salary range for the Executive Director level position will be between $250,000 - $285,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
