Short-Term Substitute Teacher
Reports to: Principal
Job Description:
A trained professional who provides temporary classroom instruction and supervision when a regular teacher is unavailable for a short period. The Short-Term Substitute Teacher supports the learning environment by following established lesson plans, maintaining order, and promoting the values of Catholic education. This is a temporary, part-time position serving as needed to ensure continuity in instruction and care for students.
Responsibilities:
- Provides instruction according to lesson plans and classroom procedures established by the regular teacher or administration.
- Maintains a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment.
- Supervises students to ensure safety and engagement in learning.
- Communicates with school staff regarding student progress or classroom needs.
- Models Christian behavior and supports the mission of Catholic education.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of sixty (60) college credit hours preferred.
- Prior classroom or child supervision experience desirable.
- Commitment to the philosophy and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Effective communication, flexibility, and reliability.
