We are looking for bilingual Thai/English speakers with simultaneous interpreting experience to help Thai speakers with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) understand information about public health training. We're looking for someone long-term since this will be a a multi-year contract with locations in and around the LA area.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language in real-time, accurately conveying the meaning and tone of the speaker
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct
- Ability to commute in and around Los Angeles area
Skills:
- Fluency in both Thai and English languages
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening and comprehension abilities
- Ability to interpret and translate complex concepts accurately
- Understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivity to diverse populations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting
