Duties
- Safely operate and maintain ATVs, backpack sprayers, and trucks and trailers to apply weed control treatments accurately and efficiently
- Conduct site assessments to identify weed issues and develop tailored management plans
- Apply herbicides products following all safety regulations and environmental guidelines
- Use driving skills to navigate various terrains while transporting equipment and supplies to different job sites
- Document application activities, treatment locations, and results meticulously for record-keeping and reporting purposes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental standards during all operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in weed management, restoration, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable
- Degree in environmental sciences or related field is preferred
- Familiarity with ATVs and driving is essential for efficient job performance
- Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping and site assessments
- Good physical condition capable of standing, walking, lifting up to 50lbs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating in remote areas is a plus
- Willingness to learn about environmental safety practices related to herbicide application and weed management
