Native Fields is a farmer’s market-driven, family-operated restaurant in Walnut, CA, known for showcasing seasonal ingredients, scratch cooking, and a warm neighborhood atmosphere. We are currently seeking experienced Line Cooksand potential Lead Line Cooks to join our culinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items with consistency and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized station while following health and safety standards.
- Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and proper food storage.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and efficiency.
- For Lead Cooks: help manage line flow, delegate tasks, and support the Sous Chef/Chef in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen (farm-to-table or fine dining a plus).
- Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes consistently.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first mentality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- For Lead Cooks: prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role on the line.
