About the Role
We are looking for a motivated team members to fill our Landscape Construction Technician job openings. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude who are looking to start a career in the landscape industry.
As a key member of a 2–3 person crew, you will work directly under the guidance of a Landscape Construction Foreman. Your primary mission is to learn and perform the physical tasks required to build high-quality residential landscapes while adhering to our standards of safety and craftsmanship. Primary Responsibilities

- Landscape Installation – Learn to perform physical tasks such as plant installation, edger installation, and hauling materials like gravel and mulch.
- Site Preparation – Assist with demolition of existing materials, subgrade preparation, and trenching or excavating.
- Technical Training – Under supervision, learn to install drip irrigation and landscape lighting.
- Equipment Safety – Learn the safe and responsible operation of hand tools and landscape machinery, such as mini-skid loaders.
- Skill Advancement – Assist with and learn advanced tasks, including site layouts, drainage, boulder placement, and custom masonry features.
- Site Stewardship – Maintain a safe, organized, and clean job site, reporting any potential hazards or equipment needs to the Foreman.
Additional Benefits include
- Paid Sick time - accrual rate of 1 day for 30 hours worked
- Paid Time Off - accrual rate of 1 hour for approximately 78 hours worked (60 days of employment through 3rd work anniversary). Accrual rate of 1 hour for approximately 30 hours worked (effective at 3rd anniversary of employment at Native Edge)

- Experience – No previous landscape experience required; we provide comprehensive job training for committed team members.
- Driving (Optional) – A valid Colorado Driver’s License with a motor vehicle record (MVR) acceptable to our insurance company is a plus for those who wish to operate company vehicles.
- Physical Strength – Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs safely on your own and 100 lbs with assistance.
- Mobility - Maintain a full range of motion in the upper and lower body; ability to safely bend, stoop, lift, pull, push, squat, and stand for long periods.
- Endurance - Capacity to work shifts up to 10 hours in varying Colorado weather ranging from 20°F to 100°F.
- Communication – Ability to understand and follow instructions in English however we do have some Foremen with the ability to communicate in Spanish here and there.
- Reliability – Report to the yard or job site at the scheduled time fully prepared for physical work.
- Availability – Willingness to work on Saturdays to make up for days lost due to inclement weather.
- Legal Status – Legally authorized to work in the United States; we are an EEOC employer and participate in E-Verify.
