If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love working with fresh ingredients, this is the perfect opportunity for you This is an early morning shift from 4am - 12pm (noon)
What you'll do
- Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene and sanitation
- Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas
- Handle food items with care, ensuring proper storage and labeling practices
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service during peak hours
- Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing your culinary talents
Basic qualifications
- Experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Familiarity with menu planning and food preparation techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment
- Proficient knife skills for efficient ingredient preparation
