Summary 

The Native American Community Clinic (NACC) is dedicated to promoting the health and wellness of mind, body, and spirit for Native American families. Our Wiinodewe Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured, culturally responsive, intensive outpatient mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) services through a harm reduction lens for adults. 

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Provider who is interested in delivering integrated care in a team-based setting. The ideal candidate is dually licensed as a mental health professional and an alcohol and drug counselor (LADC). Applicants who qualify as a mental health practitioner and have direct experience working with co-occurring substance use disorders will also be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults attending chemical health programming, with an emphasis on co-occurring disorders.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and treatment planning that integrate both mental health and substance use needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and safety planning to program participants as needed.
  • Facilitate structured IOP group programming that blends evidence-based practices with culturally grounded approaches.
  • Coordinate care with internal providers and external partners, including medical, behavioral health, and substance use treatment teams.
  • Engage in regular case consultation and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Abide by clinical protocols, program policies, and productivity expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge of current, culturally appropriate best practices in mental health and SUD treatment.
  • Play a key role in the expansion of chemical health programming.
  • Participate in community outreach and related events.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications 

Education and Experience: 

  • Master’s Degree (MA/MS) in counseling, clinical social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
  • Experience providing therapy in an intensive outpatient program or comparable setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in native american and/or underserved and at-risk communities.
  • Direct experience working with clients with substance use disorders required.

 

Licenses and Certifications: 

  • Current Licensed Mental Health Professional in Minnesota (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, LP) OR
  • Mental Health Practitioner actively accruing hours toward licensure.
  • Mental Health Professional that qualifies for UMICAD (ADC) certification.
  • Preference for candidates with dual licensure (LADC mental health license).

Salary : $80,000 - $99,000
