See Yourself at Native American Bank

Step into a role where your work supports the economic growth of Indian Country. As a Rotational Intern, you won’t just be “shadowing”—you’ll contribute to real-world tasks that help our bank serve tribal communities. You will gain a foundational view of how a mission-driven bank operates and get exposure to the unique ways finance supports tribal economic development. You can expect to build a professional network and see firsthand how community banking makes an impact.

The Experience: What You Will Be Doing

During this 8-week program, you will rotate through four key departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the banking industry:

  • Credit & Lending: Assist with financial statement spreads and learn the fundamentals of risk assessment for tribal and small business loans.
  • Accounting & Financial Operations: Support accounts payable/receivable and gain exposure to bank-specific financial reporting and auditing.
  • Branch Operations: Experience the “front lines” of community banking by assisting with client services and understanding regulatory compliance.
  • Marketing & Community Impact: Learn how the Bank shares its story by assisting with content and campaigns that highlight our work in Indian Country, including our community impact and Mission in Motion initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: A current college student (typically 2nd or 3rd year) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Native American Studies, Tribal Management or related fields of study.
  • Academic Standing: GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting/financial fundamentals, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong analytical skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with a collaborative, positive attitude.
  • Mission Alignment: A genuine interest in supporting Native American communities and understanding tribal economic development.

Benefits & Perks

  • Commuter Benefit: Fully covered RTD Eco Pass, providing unlimited bus and light rail access throughout the Denver metro area for the duration of the program.
  • Professional Development: Meet 1-on-1 with bank executives to ask questions, build your network, and learn the inner workings of tribal banking leadership.
  • Community Impact: Paid opportunities to participate in Mission in Motion volunteer events.
  • Financial Wellness: A 1-on-1 financial coaching session, plus a free student checking account.
