REGISTERED NURSE - PSYCH
- Location: Holyoke, MA
- Shift: Days (7a-3:30p) (every other weekend/every other holiday); charge required (considered to be included)
- Schedule: Full-time, includes every other weekend
- One year of Psych experience required
- Must be willing to float and take charge (No multiplier for charge)
MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is seeking healthcare professionals who inspire; new Behavioral Health Hospital opening in Spring 2021 for psychiatric, emotional, and substance use treatments
- Responsibilities:
- RN provides direct and indirect care to patients/families/legal guardians
- Maintains a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in MiraVista Behavioral Health Center core principles
- Works collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Contributes to each patient’s individual treatment plan by developing, implementing, and documenting goals and interventions
Qualifications:
- Education: RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred
- Experience: Previous psychiatric/substance inpatient experience preferred
- CPR certification required
- Restraint reduction, de-escalation, crisis intervention experience preferred
Skills:
- Critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving
- Advanced knowledge of Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities
- Applies nursing process from a Trauma Informed Recovery model of care
- Develops therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
- Effective oral and written communication
- Typing and computer skills for Electronic Medical Record use
- Crisis management, time management, delegation, coaching, and team building
- Flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stressful situations calmly and professionally
Additional Information:
- Must be willing to float to similar or lower acuity units if needed
- Work every other holiday and every other weekend

- Guaranteed Hours: 40
- 13 WEEKS OF CONTRACT

Pay: $58.00 - $62.00 per hour
