- Ratios: ~8:1 (varies)
- Equipment: BP monitor, thermometer, pulse ox, Pyxis
- EHR: Pinpoint, HCS
- Supervisor: Melanie Collins
- Patient Population: Adults
- Certifications: BLS, Handle With Care (HWC – within 30 days of hire)
- Experience: 2 years (psychiatric preferred)
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Float: Yes
- Must Have: Assessments, Columbia Suicidal Scale, CIWA/COWS Protocol, Med reconciliation
- Preferred: Inpatient acute care, therapeutic communication
- Maintain safe milieu through observation, 15-minute checks, contraband monitoring, and direct supervision as needed
- Perform delegated RN tasks: vitals, specimen collection, documentation, group education, patient monitoring
- Manage milieu to promote positive patient experiences
- Escort patients to meals, outdoor breaks, off-unit activities, and appointments
- Other duties as assigned
