🔹 Required Skills & Certifications

• BLS Certification – Required before first shift
• ACLS Certification – Required before first shift
• 2 Years of Bedside Clinical Experience – Highly Desired
  
  

🔹 Core Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using established nursing plans
• Conduct nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to guide care plans
• Identify patient/family teaching needs and set goals collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time
• Communicate patient status clearly during team conferences and between providers
• Participate in assigned unit’s rehabilitation program using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate)
• Start discharge planning and patient education from day one of admission
• Provide timely updates to attending physician and charge nurse for continuity of care
• Seek guidance from senior nurses when facing complex clinical situations
• Train, guide, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel; delegate tasks appropriately
• Ensure a safe, compliant, and clean environment according to hospital standards
• Lead by example; provide calm direction and support to patients, families, and team members
• Engage in team-building efforts to support a positive and efficient unit culture
• Communicate equipment/supply needs or repair requests to nurse manager
• Deliver care that is both cost-effective and outcome-focused
• Monitor supply usage and billing for accuracy
• Serve as charge nurse when needed, after orientation
• Take personal responsibility for continuing education and professional development
• Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal use of time and staff for patient care
• Perform other duties as assigned
