Core Responsibilities
- Lead material formulation and development projects for cable and connectivity products across global manufacturing sites.
- Coordinate supplier engagement, formulation testing, certification, validation, and production release.
- Evaluate commercial materials and support new-product development, material characterization, and compliance testing.
- Identify material cost savings, alternate suppliers, obsolete-material replacements, and supply-chain risk reductions.
- Coordinate external fire testing, analyze test data, and support relevant standards and certification requirements.
- Research material trends, manage supplier relationships, and support sustainability projects, life-cycle assessments, and environmental declarations.
- Prepare project reports and presentations and represent the organization in industry standards groups.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience leading or managing technical projects.
- Chemical, polymer, plastics, materials, wire, or cable experience is preferred.

- Polymer and plastic chemistry, processing, analysis, and performance.
- Material formulation, testing, measurement, verification, and validation.
- Plastic extrusion, process characterization, statistical methods, and analysis tools.
- Industry standards, fire-test methods, third-party certification, and materials compliance.
- Product development, supplier management, technical reporting, and sustainability analysis.
