Controls Electrical TechnicianRutherfordton, NC Onsite, Permanent/Direct Hire, Full BenefitsRelocation Assistance Available The Controls Technician/Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, modifying and maintaining all plant equipment. Primary responsibilities include the design, sourcing, installing, and implementation of electronic equipment as well as PLC programming.Responsibilities Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues with production equipment.Recommend and maintain electrical and electronic spare parts for production equipment.Improve processes with electrical and electronic design modifications.Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment modifications as well as equipment failures.Oversight of electronic component repair and to be able to recommend outsourcing when needed.Maintain and update calibration data to satisfy accuracy requirements.Perform routine maintenance on production equipment as well as support infrastructure and facilities as required.Qualifications Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to use all necessary test equipment.Must be able to work as a part of a team in a team-based work environment.Experience with electronics and PLC programming.NFPA 70E Arc flash safety training preferred.
