  • This is a base plus bonus/commission role, designed for high performers. While the base provides stability, total earnings depend on achieving and exceeding your annual quota. Total earnings are uncapped and performance based.

Job Summary:

The Member Support Manager (MSM) is a consultative sales role, responsible for growing revenue and expanding membership within an assigned region. This position carries an annual quota and is accountable for increasing member participation in NMG programs and services while actively recruiting new member companies.

The MSM builds strong relationships, identifies opportunities to improve performance, and turns those opportunities into measurable results. Success in this role means growing your region through both new member recruitment and existing member development, retaining members, strengthening engagement, and helping members realize their full potential and profitability.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth in your territory – Identify and pursue opportunities to increase assigned members’ participation of NMG programs and services to achieve or exceed your annual growth quota.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through self-directed prospecting, networking, referrals, and target outreach.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan – Partner with all assigned members to help them achieve their full potential, prioritize opportunities, and track progress against revenue and engagement goals.
  • Lead regularly scheduled ROI and value reviews with assigned members, interpreting participation and performance metrics to quantify business impact and deliver actionable recommendations that increase utilization, retention, and measurable membership value.
  • Build strong relationships with members – Understand each member’s business, challenges, and goals to provide consultative solutions that drive results.
  • Identify and convert new opportunities – Actively prospect, generate leads, and turn opportunities into measurable sales, including upsells and cross-sells.
  • Partner with vendor and internal teams – Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to bring the right solutions to members and support your sales efforts.
  • Provide business insights and guidance – Advise members on ways to improve operations, profitability, and program adoption, tying recommendations directly to measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting – Document interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activity in the CRM to ensure visibility and accountability.

  • Drive Results: Maintain a strong focus on achieving quota, identifying new opportunities, and turning potential into measurable results.
  • Self-Manage: Plan your territory, manage your pipeline, and work independently in a field-based environment while staying accountable to goals and deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment that requires travel, in-person visits, and shifting priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years professional work experience in a business environment, with a track record of exercising independent judgment, problem-solving, and accountability for achieving results.
  • Understands and is comfortable in a quota-carrying sales role, accountable for achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Must reside in, or within a reasonable commuting distance to, the assigned territory to allow for regular in-person visits with members. Exact travel expectations will depend on assigned territory size and available travel budget.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and their purpose in supporting sales, tracking activity, and enhancing member engagement. Prior hands-on experience is not required.
  • Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and ability to travel frequently, including overnight trips and occasional air travel.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business outcomes and drive program adoption.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, translate insights into clear business implications, and provide actionable recommendations that improve member performance and outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success in a quota-carrying sales role, demonstrating consistent achievement of revenue targets and measurable results.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Industry experience in Appliances, Electronics, Furniture and Bedding is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of revenue-generating tools used by retailers, such as product protection plans, retail financing, e-commerce best practices, and marketing/advertising strategies.
  • Preference given to candidates located in Iowa or Illinois.

Work Environment:

This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel throughout your assigned region, including retail sites and offices across multiple cities and states. Expect extended periods in a vehicle, occasional overnight trips, and some air travel.

When working from your home office, you will conduct calls, virtual meetings, CRM updates, and territory planning. This role is best suited for self-motivated individuals who thrive in a mix of in-person engagement, travel, and independent work.
