Nationwide Healthcare Services, has a unique opportunity to oversee 3 Healthcare and Rehabilitation Centers in the state of Delaware. We are searching for a Regional Nurse who has the desire to create an environment where employees are engaged and are focused on providing the highest level of care to our residents.
SUMMARY OF POSITION FOR THE REGIONAL NURSE:
The Regional Nurse will supervise and monitor the implementation of all clinical services in assigned facilities in accordance with current federal, state and local guidelines. The Regional Nurse will guide and direct the Directors of Nursing Services in all aspects of their job responsibilities to ensure the provision of quality, compassionate care to all residents, ongoing compliance with all regulations and positive outcomes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES FOR THE REGIONAL NURSE:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Maintain regulatory compliance in all assigned facilities per CMS and State regulations
· Guide and direct facility DON’s in the implementation, monitoring and validation of clinical services and programs in accordance with federal, state, local and facility based guidelines
· Provide support as needed through any facility survey process including direction during survey, writing/editing Plan of Correction, creating audits and education
· Direct and oversee all Plans of Corrections with any and all sited deficiencies related to CMS and/or State regulations for completion and readiness for revisits
· Monitor and track all survey readiness and outstanding Ftags
· Perform on site and remote audits to confirm compliance
· Coordinate all clinical services provided by outside vendors including Pharmacy including consultants, Lab, Diagnostics, Respiratory Therapy, Wound Care, etc.
· Participant in and confirm process for nursing management selection, orientation and performance
· Participant in the selection of and ongoing evaluation of clinical equipment and supplies
· Recommend and monitor all aspects of clinical staffing in accordance with facility needs, state requirements and efficiencies.
· Communicate effectively with facility staff, corporate personnel, residents, families and vendors
· Consistent and ongoing monitoring of facility’s quality of care provision through on-site inspections, remote reviews, mock surveys, etc.
· Proficient use of identified EHR/PCC
· Review and provide guidance for all quality measures
· Participate in facility QAPI, High Risk, Morning Clinical Review and other meetings
· Review and provide guidance for any reportable event including immediately addressing any outstanding concerns related to the event
· Provide guidance to Admissions in regards to clinical competencies specific to each facility identifying areas for clinical growth and expansion
· Work with facility Administrators and Corporate team members to participate and contribute to successful operation of all facilities
WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE REGIONAL NURSE:
Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Certificate/Licenses: Current, active license as a Registered Nurse specific to State(s) assigned
Work Experience: Ten years of clinical experience preferably including regulatory review, policy/procedure development with oversite/direct responsibility at a multi-site level in a Long Term Care SNF environment
