Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Serves as the administrative designee during specified hours; communicates issues to administrators, Patient Care Services leadership, program managers, or other appropriate personnel, as indicated; and responds to inquiries and complaints from parents, patients, staff, and the public.
- Directs the management, communication, and resolution of emergencies and crises utilizing the HEICS model, providing effective leadership; collaborates on decisions, issues, and problems occurring during the designated shift; and responds to code blues, traumas, and other emergencies.

- Coordinates and directs patient throughput (admission, transfer, and discharge) to ensure needs are met promptly.
- Provides guidance and education on clinical decision-making and critical problem-solving; supervises and evaluates clinical nursing practice; makes recommendations for improvement; and supports, monitors, and implements planned changes.
- Provides input into the Patient Care Services administrative budget.
