Summary:

Reporting to the Creative Director, the Creative Services Intern will gain valuable experience working in marketing for a Major League Baseball team, assisting with various marketing initiatives including our advertising campaign, social media, concert promotion, game day initiatives and community events, in addition to the graphic design responsibilities. The position will be responsible for high volume and production of a wide range of design projects that support the sales, marketing, social, and communications departments.

The Associate will need to be available to work in person in Washington, D.C. from approximately April – September 2026.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Heavy focus on creating digital materials, print design also possible.
  • Adhere to specific brand guidelines.
  • Manage a queue of multiple projects and complete according to set deadlines.
  • Photo editing and image creation, manage files, collaborate with the Creative Director and other designers to develop design concepts.
  • Receive feedback from the Creative Director and make necessary changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Recent Graphic design graduate, advanced course work or a minimum of 1 year experience preferred.
  • Successfully pass a background investigation.
  • Available for the entire term of the internship in Washington D.C..
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Portfolio required for consideration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions

  • Must possess a broad and practical knowledge of layout, color theory, typography.
  • Solid experience in sports/entertainment or a related industry.
  • Understanding of how to work within and support brand guidelines across multiple channels.
  • Full mastery of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other Creative Suite programs is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as well as critical, independent thinking.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with people of all different levels and backgrounds.
  • Understand how to prioritize projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet sometimes-changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Mature and sound judgment and the ability to learn quickly.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Position may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation:

    The projected wage rate for this position is $17.95 per hour. This position is also eligible for commission based on sales.  Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
