Hub Truck Rental, a leading truck leasing and rental company, celebrating more than 60 years in business is seeking a team player to join our company in our NY and NJ location.

What You’ll Do

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner

Diesel repairs, service & diagnostics

• Provide high-quality service to customers

• Driving to road calls – repairing trucks & trailers on site with little or no follow ups required

• Maintain current certifications and actively pursue additional training classes and ASE certifications

• Diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation by repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials

• Inspect trucks to ensure that they are in proper working condition

• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery

• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose defects

• Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor

• Comply with federal and state vehicle regulations by testing engines, safety systems, and combustion control standards

What We’re Looking For

• 1 years of automotive or diesel mechanic experience (preferred)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Diesel Mechanic / Technician training not needed but is a plus

• A valid driver’s license is required

• CDL a plus

• Truck mechanical aptitude

• Union Shop exposure a plus

• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers

• NYSI/ NJ Inspector License a plus
